Why Concrete Outdoors

The one surface built for life outdoors.

Timber greys and rots. Laminate swells. Granite and porcelain costs a fortune. Concrete just gets on with it — frost-proof, UV-stable, heatproof under a hot pan, and sealed tight against grease, wine and rain. Cast or coated right, an outdoor concrete worktop keeps its looks for decades, not seasons.

  • Frost- and weatherproof — built for year-round outdoor use
  • Heat-resistant — set a hot pan straight down
  • Sealed against grease, wine, oil and rain
  • UV-stable — won't fade or yellow in the sun
  • Repairable and resealable — looks after itself for years
Choose Your Method

Three ways to build it. One that's right for you.

Every outdoor kitchen is different. Pick the method that suits your build, your skills and your structure — each one ships as a complete, UK-made kit.

Outdoor Microcement Kits

Best for: resurfacing an existing or new structure

A thin, hand-applied concrete coating that goes over an existing base — block island, ply or cement board.

  • 3-coat outdoor system
  • Fibreglass mesh reinforcement
  • 2-part polyurethane sealer
  • Seamless wraparound finish

Precast Kits

Best for: a polished high finish look

Cast your worktop in a mould, then lift it into place once it's cured.

  • High-strength mix
  • Cast to your template
  • Full slab control
  • Place when ready

Cast-In-Place Mix

Best for: a monolithic, one-piece look

Pour and form the concrete directly on the structure for a seamless, built-in worktop.

  • Poured on site
  • Seamless edges
  • Integral sinks & features
  • The most built-in finish

FAQs

Your questions, answered.

Yes. Sealed correctly, all three systems are frost- and weatherproof and made for year-round outdoor use. The outdoor microcement kit specifically uses a 3-coat build and all finished with a 2-part polyurethane sealer for exterior exposure.

That's exactly who these kits are for. Every kit comes with step-by-step guidance written for first-timers, and our team is on hand from start to finish.

Concrete is heatproof — a hot pan won't mark it. For a built-in grill or pizza oven, we'll advise on the right detailing around direct-flame zones.

Sealed properly, no. The sealer guards against grease, oils, wine and rain — just wipe spills as you would any worktop.

Most customers save thousands. You're paying for materials and your own time, not a fabricator's day rate.

Microcement is the easiest, precast to cast a slab and place it and get a Grand-Designs type finish, cast-in-place to pour seamlessly in position. The calculators (Link in Menu) narrows it down in under a minute.
