Great kit with clear instructions and excellent quality materials. I was really impressed with the colour options — the light grey is perfect. I have to say what a great product and what an amazing finish you get if you put the work in and prep everything before the main pour.
I was sceptical at first but I called the team at concrete lab and they advised me all the way through and was happy to as well.
I am definitely using their product again as I have another outdoor kitchen to install this December/ January.

Excellent product. Doesn't affect the finished concrete surface and only a very thin film needed to assist release.
I’m really happy with my countertop finished in microcement! The team was fantastic- always quick to respond and very helpful throughout the process. Really impressed with both the microcement and Concrete Labs. My project was to build an outdoor kitchen and I really wanted to get a concrete 'type' worktop. The microcement was the perfect solution. Just follow the really helpful videos and you will be fine - enjoy the process! I have to say, once I got over the initial trepidation, I really enjoyed the process and the final result totally exceeded my expectations. The Concrete Labs customer service was also fantastic - the first delivery was messed up by the courier and the team sent another pack straight away. I would highly recommend.
We bought the Cast in Place Concrete Kit to create a new hearth for our log burner and it has turned out wonderfully! Our entire experience with Concrete Lab has been excellent - from the initial research using their help articles and video tutorials, to their excellent customer service, and of course the final result. We’re already planning our next projects….

Thank you for my Colour Samples. They are a perfect starting point to the project. Like the first sketch, They've helped myself and the plasterer to see what an exciting project it 'could be'. I bought all the materials using the online calculator and quote email. I received 5 bags of cast in place, and all other materials were included (fibres and plasticiser) at the right quantities. I’m so pleased I went for the mould release and sealer. As I would likely have a a big problem with getting the edges off and then with keeping water out of the concrete respectively.
Very easy to use, and would highly recommend a bell cement mixer for more than 2 bags. It gets thick and heavy very quickly. Much more so than things like ordinary concrete, mortar or post-crete for example. It self levels exceptionally well and sands easily.
Even with my very limited, troweling experience and average skill with silicone (sealing the mould), I got a great result.
The only thing I would change for the next project would be to make the lip 10mm deeper (I.e. extend it beyond the flat) to 30mm allowing for better air release, and then vibrate the edges once poured. I would also take better care in siliconing as there were some defects - this adds to the rustic nature I feel, but any protrusion will absolutely be picked up as the product is very fine.

I used the micro cement on my outdoor kitchen worktop and waterfall sides. Fairly easy to use and looks amazing!!
The samples came very quickly and were excellent in helping us choose which colour option we are going to go for. The phone advice has been brilliant also so far and we are looking forward to going ahead.
