From bare surface to polished concrete
No specialist tools. No trade experience. Just follow the system.
Prime your surface
Make sure your surface is sound, clean and stable, then apply the concentrated primer from the pack. It creates the bond between your surface and the microcement.
Apply two coats
Mix the resin into the powder and trowel on two thin coats, one per day. Sand between coats to keep the finish consistent.
Seal and protect
Finish with the Concrete Lab Sealer included in your kit, in matt or satin. It makes the surface stain-resistant and hard-wearing, and easy to wipe clean.

Choose the kit for the surface you're covering — worktop, wall, wall tiles, floor or outdoor worktop. Each kit contains the components that surface needs, so the preparation, mesh and sealer are right for the job.
Everything to prime, apply and seal: concentrated primer, microcement powder with pre-dosed resin and dye, the fibreglass mesh your surface needs, and the Concrete Lab Sealer in matt or satin. Each product page lists the exact contents.
Kits come in 5m² and 10m². Measure your area in square metres and add around 10% for cuts and waste — for worktops, remember to include the edges. If you're between sizes, give us a call and we'll help you work it out.
No. The kits are designed for confident DIYers with no prior microcement experience. The pre-dosed components remove the measuring guesswork, and the step-by-step instructions and video guides cover every stage.
Most projects are done over a weekend — typically 1 to 2 days including drying between coats. Allow the sealer to cure fully before putting the surface into heavy use.
Yes — microcement is waterproof in itself. The Concrete Lab Sealer included in every kit makes it stain-resistant and hard-wearing, and gives you your matt or satin finish.
Yes. If you already have some of the materials, or need a top-up, you can buy everything individually from our Microcement Components range.
If you're unsure on colour, yes. A colour sample from £2 shows you the real shade in your own light. To try the trowelled finish before a full room, the Starter Microcement Kit covers 1m².
