Microcement Polished Concrete - 3 Coat Pack
Our 3 coat pack is for more difficult areas and also forms part of our Microcement For Wall Tiles Kits.
Our Microcement Polished Concrete packs contains the powders and liquids required to prime and apply the microcement allowing you to produce your own polished concrete surface. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use provided the substrate is both suitable and prepared properly. Please read our instructions for further advice.
Microcement is sometimes known as microconcrete, microtop, and beton cire amongst other names. It is a trowel applied finish for walls, floors, worktops and furniture.
The product comes in 3 sizes - sample (1sqm), 5sqm and 10sqm, and comes in a choice of colour bases.
It can be applied to variety of different substrates as long as they are sound and free from movement.
Please note that when applying three coats there will be a longer drying time because of the amount of material being applied. It is important to apply each coat thinly as per our instructions and sufficient time should be allowed beforee sanding each coat. A test patch should be sanded to ensure that the material has cured enough prior to sanding each entire layer.

Prime your surface
Make sure your surface is sound, clean and stable, then apply the concentrated primer from the pack. It creates the bond between your surface and the microcement.
Apply two coats
Mix the resin into the powder and trowel on two thin coats, one per day. Sand between coats to keep the finish consistent.
Seal and protect
Finish with the Concrete Lab Sealer in matt or satin. It makes the surface stain-resistant and hard-wearing, and easy to wipe clean.

Everything you need to know before you order
Most solid, structurally sound surfaces — plaster, plasterboard, tiles, plywood, moisture-resistant MDF, cement board, existing concrete and screed. The surface must be clean, dry and stable before you begin. Full substrate guidance is in the instructions.
Yes — microcement is waterproof in itself. The Concrete Lab Sealer is what makes it stain-resistant and hard-wearing, and gives you your matt or satin finish, so we always recommend sealing.
Each pack contains a bottle of concentrated primer, plus microcement powder and resin for two coats. You'll also need the Concrete Lab Sealer, and fibreglass mesh for floors, worktops and joints.
Our Microcement Kits include all of this, pre-selected for your surface.
Packs come in Sample (1m²), 5m² and 10m². Measure your total area in square metres and add 10% for cuts and waste. If you're between sizes, or covering several surfaces, give us a call and we'll help you work it out.
No. Our microcement is designed for confident DIYers with no prior experience. Follow the step-by-step instructions and video guides and you'll get a professional finish — first-timers do it every weekend.
Usually a few days. One coat of microcement per day — so two days for two coats — then a day or two to apply the sealer. The sealer reaches full cure after 7 days.
No specialist tools, but our Microcement Application Tools Bundle makes application much easier. For sealing, the Concrete Sealing Kit takes the guesswork out of measuring and applying.
If you're unsure on colour, yes. A colour sample from £2 shows you the real shade in your own light. To try the actual trowelled finish, choose the Sample Kit (1m²) size above.
