Concrete Lab's microcement is designed for precision, arriving in pre-weighed packs that contain both the microcement powder and the corresponding resin. These packs are proportioned exactly, ensuring a consistent mix every time. The packs typically come in sizes suited for 5 square metres or 10 square metres of coverage, making them perfect for larger projects.

However, for a novice, mixing an entire pack in one go can feel daunting. If it's your first time working with microcement, the thought of handling a full 5 sqm batch can be overwhelming. You may worry about mixing consistency, working time, or simply managing a larger quantity than you’re comfortable with.
The good news is that batching out smaller amounts is straightforward with a simple kitchen scale.
To create a smaller, more manageable mix, you can weigh out 1kg of microcement powder and mix it with 380ml (or 380g) of resin. This maintains the exact same powder-to-liquid ratio as the full pack but allows you to mix only what you need.
A 1kg batch should cover approximately 1.5 square metres, giving you more control over the application process while still ensuring consistency in your finish. This method is particularly useful for:
✅ Beginners who want to practice before tackling a larger area
✅ Smaller projects that don’t require a full 5sqm or 10sqm batch
✅ Phased applications where you want to mix fresh material in stages
By breaking it down into smaller portions, you can gain confidence with the material, work at your own pace, and reduce waste—without compromising on quality.
