A few months ago we were tagged in a reel on instagram by DIY blogger and creator Claire Douglas, and we want to share with you her amazing journey into the wonderful world of MIcrocement.
Firstly, let us tell you a little bit about Claire, she is a DIY and home interior writer and creator. She’s spent years developing her ‘bespoke on a budget’ approach to DIY, her socials are FULL of tips and tricks and her website is stacked with ‘how to’ blogs. She has featured in Livingetc, The Metro, Daily Express and Real Homes and she is a self-confessed Microcement Super Fan.
First, she started with her Microcement kitchen worktop overhaul, which included backsplash and waterfall ends. She was so impressed with the versatility and texture, but more importantly the cost effectiveness that she was hooked.
With this in mind, she was looking for a solution to house her fridge, and this naturally led her into incorporating Microcement. The before and after surround that she constructed is so impressive. It adds a comprehensive and well thought out look and feel and added flow to her already impressive concrete kitchen. She added matching paint and handles, and it brought the whole project together.
On her blog (which can be found on her website) she has thoughtfully listed all of her materials and tools she used throughout the project, thus making it an even easier project for her fellow DIY creators to embark upon.
She helpfully lists detailed step by step instructions on her website (including photos) so you can visually see the process.
We strongly advise you follow her social media channels, and like us you will become obsessed with her helpful ‘how to’s’ and money saving advice.
