Cast-In-Place Mix

The Concrete Lab Cast-In-Place Mix is a specially formulated high-strength concrete mix for cast-in-place or cast-in-situ concrete worktop, countertop, table, bar or sink projects. It is designed to be cast at approximately 40mm thickness, it is cast the "right way up" with any formwork being left in place forming part of the structure. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Each pack contains;

• 1 Bag of Cast-In-Place Base Mix
• 1 Bag of Glass Fibres
• 1 Bag of Dye (except for Off-White)

The kit comes in approx 22kg (gross) packs.

One pack covers;

0.28m2 of concrete at 40mm depth

We have made a handy form which will work out your shopping list. It will calculate most of the items you will require based on the area of your project. PLEASE NOTE it won't tell you whether or not you will need reinforcement bars are weak points like hob or sink cutouts. If you need any advice on this let us know by the usual methods!

PLEASE NOTE - Our Cast In Place Mix should be used where the temperature of the concrete can be maintained at or above 15DegC. This can be achieved using heated blankets where the ambient conditions do not allow for this.

PLEASE NOTE - The finished product is not suitable for direct or close contact with extreme heat (i.e. over 200degC) and may be liable to crack.

PLEASE NOTE - this product is now supplied in bags and NOT buckets.

Please note - If you are planning to create precast sections of concrete which are cast upside-down, this product is NOT suitable. Please use our Worktop Premix Kit for this.
