Concrete Lab Worktop / Countertop Mix is a specially formulated flowable high-strength concrete mix for pre-cast concrete worktop, countertop, table, bar or sink projects. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

The mix contains;

Superplasticizer additive to provide a flowable mix at low water/cement ratio.

Our Flowcrete GFRC Admixture.

Alkali-resistant glass fibres - for strength and to reduce the weight of the finished product

Premium cement formulation - to the specification we use ourselves in commercial applications.

Specific coarse-graded silica sand

Metakaolin - a pozzolan to make the concrete more cohesive and less likely to bleed and far superior in strength

This high-flow self-consolidating formula minimizes the need for mechanical vibration.

Our premix system simply requires the addition of water, producing high quality results every time.

The premix comes in approx 22kg packs. One pack will produce a 1 metre length of standard width - 600mm - worktop at 18mm thickness.

One premix = 0.6m2 of concrete at 18mm depth

We have made a handy form which will work out your shopping list. It will calculate most of the items you will require based on the area of your project. PLEASE NOTE it won't tell you whether or not you will need reinforcement bars are weak points like hob or sink cutouts. If you need any advice on this let us know by the usual methods!

If you're doing it the old fashioned way, to work out how many premixes you need for your project calculate the total surface area of the project in m2 and divide by 0.6 to give you the number of premixes required. Always round up and consider the additional area required for any lip. Note; this is based on 20mm depth.
